FeSe/STO — Iron-Based Superconductor
Data: Wang et al., Chinese Physics Letters 29, 037402 (2012). R(T) for single-layer FeSe on SrTiO3. Known Tc ≈ 65K.
Results
| Feature | Known | DSF-AI |
| Transition temperature | ~65K | 61–63K (transitions detected) |
| Precursor onset | Not reported | VOLATILE region extends to 83K — 20K above Tc |
| Zero-resistance state | Below 60K | STABLE from 4K to 60K |
Stability Map
| Region | Range | Interpretation |
| STABLE | 4 — 60K | Superconducting state |
| VOLATILE | 60 — 83K | Transition region with precursors above Tc |
| DEGENERATE | 83 — 300K | Normal metallic state |
Notable finding: Iron-based superconductors have a different pairing mechanism than cuprates (YBCO) and conventional superconductors (MgB2). DSF-AI produces the same precursor pattern regardless of the underlying physics — 20K of precursor activity above Tc, detected from R(T) alone.
