DSF-AI — Terms of Service, Disclosures & Privacy Policy

Welcome to DSF-AI (dsf-ai.com). DSF-AI is a structural analysis service that detects transitions, precursors, and regime changes in measurement data. It also provides nanoparticle property predictions. The service is built on proprietary analysis methods that are trade secrets.

1. Research & Informational Use Only

DSF-AI is provided for research, informational, and analytical purposes only. Results from DSF-AI, including transitions, regime maps, precursor detections, property predictions, and any narrative summaries, should be interpreted as:

• Computational analysis results, not definitive physical measurements
• Starting points for further investigation, not final conclusions
• Structural pattern detection, not causal explanations

You should independently verify all results before making decisions based on them. DSF-AI does not replace laboratory measurements, peer-reviewed analysis, or professional scientific judgment.

2. No Advisory Relationship

Your use of DSF-AI does not create an advisory, consulting, or professional services relationship between you and DSF-AI, its owners, operators, or affiliates. DSF-AI does not provide personalized scientific consulting, materials selection advice, or regulatory guidance.

3. Accuracy & Limitations

DSF-AI's structural analysis and property predictions are based on proprietary computational methods. As with any analytical tool:

• Results may contain errors, false positives, or missed transitions
• Predictions are validated against published data (63 experiments, 6.5% average error) but are not guaranteed to be correct for all materials or conditions
• The analysis depends on input data quality — noisy, incomplete, or miscalibrated data may produce unreliable results
• Narrative summaries are generated by AI (Claude API) and may contain inaccuracies

You agree to independently verify any result before acting on it. Do not rely on DSF-AI for safety-critical decisions, regulatory submissions, or clinical applications without independent verification.

4. No Guarantees; Use at Your Own Risk

DSF-AI is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee:

• That results will be correct, complete, or suitable for any purpose
• That the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• That predictions will match experimental measurements
• Uptime or availability of any specific level

5. Data Handling & Privacy

Your Uploaded Data

• CSV files you upload are processed in memory and not stored after analysis
• We do not retain, archive, or backup your uploaded measurement data
• Once the analysis response is returned, your input data is deleted from the server
• Internal computation state is encrypted (SCE-SIV) and the plaintext is destroyed after each analysis
• Download your results immediately — we cannot recover them after you leave the page

Account Information

• Authentication is handled by Clerk (clerk.com). We store your Clerk user ID, email, and name for account management
• We track analysis usage counts and credit balances in our database
• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing

Payment Information

• Payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com), a PCI-compliant payment processor
• We do not store credit card numbers, bank credentials, or sensitive payment data on our servers
• We retain subscription status, receipt IDs, timestamps, and amounts for accounting and support

6. Intellectual Property

The analysis methods, algorithms, and computational engine behind DSF-AI are trade secrets. By using the service, you agree:

• Not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the analysis methods
• Not to use automated tools to systematically extract results for the purpose of reconstructing the analysis methods
• That your results (transitions, regime maps, property values) are yours to use, but the methods that produced them remain our intellectual property

7. Pricing & Refunds

• Cluster Screener: Always free, unlimited predictions
• CSV Structural Analysis: First analysis free; subsequent analyses require credits or a subscription
• Per-analysis credits ($25): Consumed only on successful analysis. Failed analyses are not charged
• Academic plan ($5,000/year): Unlimited analyses, API access
• Industry plan ($50,000/year): Unlimited analyses, API access, SLA
• All sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

8. API Access

Academic and Industry plan subscribers receive API access. API usage is subject to:

• Rate limits (currently 10 burst / 5 sustained requests per second)
• The same terms of service as the web interface
• No redistribution of the API or resale of API access without written permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSF-AI and its owners, operators, affiliates, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or research outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) DSF-AI, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. User Responsibility & Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your use of DSF-AI, including those relating to export controls, data privacy, and professional licensing. You agree not to use DSF-AI in any manner that violates applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of DSF-AI after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

12. Age Requirement

DSF-AI is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age.
